" In our Atayal culture, facial tattooing was once a symbol of bravery and capability. In the history of the Atayal's struggle against outsider, these tattoos were once dyed with blood and carved out with touching stories of the times.Now,with the passing of generations, the elders with a facial tattoo have gradually withered away. " Meimei says, " The design of the keyholder is a mask of Atayal's female around many triangle mountains.My original imagery means a symbol to convey the spirits of our ancestors's facial mask and the depth of character. Although I have not inherited a tattooed face, I realize that the mask's spirit should continue to be inherited from our generations."
